SPECTRUM Project Meeting and Training in Córdoba, Spain

Last month, the SPECTRUM project partners gathered in the historic city of Córdoba, Spain, for their third transnational project meeting, followed by a training event for teachers from Czechia, Cyprus, and Spain. The event was hosted by the Spanish partner organization and provided a rich opportunity for collaboration and exchange of good practices in the field of inclusive education. The first day was dedicated to the project coordination meeting. Partners shared updates on their progress within each Work Package, discussed the next steps, and aligned on the final activities ahead. As part of the programme, the consortium visited Autismo Córdoba, a centre supporting individuals with autism since 1995. During the visit, the group learned more about the centre’s approach, its services, and saw the working environment first-hand. The following days were focused on an international training for teachers, aimed at developing inclusive teaching skills and learning how to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Participants worked with materials developed within the SPECTRUM project, explored good practices, and engaged in practical exercises designed for inclusive classrooms. The sessions also included peer exchange and collaboration on designing their own activities for students with SEN. An important part of the training programme was a series of study visits to local organisations actively engaged in inclusion and social support: Plataforma del Voluntariado de Córdoba, an umbrella
