Summary report on the current state of age-management

In the framework of the international project AGEADAPT, realised under the Erasmus+ program and focused on the ageing workforce, a "Summary report on the current state of age-management", which maps the situation in 5 partner countries in small and medium-sized enterprises, has been produced. As the analysis of data in all partner countries shows, age-management and the adaptation of seniors to work is a very important topic and all stakeholders are increasingly aware that good policies to this extent can be very beneficial. There is a growing awareness of the need for systematic age-management in SMEs. The number of seniors is growing every year, our society is aging and therefore it is important to apply age-management in every organization, not just in some of them.  Many managers and those responsible for the recruitment and adaptation of new employees in the workplace are still not sufficiently aware of age-management. This document forms the basis for the creation of a set of best practices on age management, a handbook with a set of practical tools for owners and managers of SMEs, and a digital learning platform on age-management. Second transnational meeting of the EIFNEG consortium

The project partners of the international project EIFNEG - EMOCAL INTELLIGENCE FOR A NEW EUROPEAN GENERATION, which is implemented under the Erasmus+ programme, met for the second time at a joint meeting today 6.6., unfortunately not in the originally planned Portuguese city of Braga, but online. In addition to various organisational issues, the meeting discussed in particular the work and efforts made so far on the first project deliverable, which includes a summary report on the situation regarding the status of emotional intelligence in schools in different European countries. The research conducted so far in the Czech Republic, Romania and Spain has shown that emotional intelligence is generally not included in the school curriculum, not enough mental health programmes are organised in schools and teachers in particular would need training on this topic and how to pass it on. In the following period, the project partners will elaborate the results of surveys among students and teachers in the project partners' countries and select 10 key areas of emotional intelligence, on the basis of which the project partners will then develop innovative educational materials on this topic for both students and teachers in the following period. Stay tuned to our communication channels to learn more about further project results!
